Meet Harpreet Tanday, our newly elected committee member of ICOMOS ISCMP – International Scientific Committee of Mural Painting. Harpreet is the Technical Director at Delta Conservation in Melbourne. She specializes in mural painting, stone and built heritage conservation with a Bachelor from the Art Academy of “G.B. Cignaroli”, Italy, and a Master from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI), Switzerland. She has been working as a heritage conservator for over 15 years and has worked and supervised several projects such as The Vatican Museum, Palazzo del Te and Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, churches in Switzerland, heritage sites in India, and murals and monuments in Australia. She advocates for a community-based conservation approach, creates connections, and is passionate about material technology with a particular focus on treatment methodology on heritage materials.
