About the journal

Historic Environment is the refereed journal of the organisation. It brings together dynamic, critical interdisciplinary research in the field of cultural heritage and heritage conservation. All articles submitted to Historic Environment are peer-reviewed, and the journal was ranked ‘A’ under the former ERA classification scheme. The journal publishes three issues per year, with many following a specific theme.

For those wishing to submit an article, please contact the HE Editorial Committee in the first instance. It is important that prospective authors are familiar with the the HE Guidelines for contributors and Harvard Guide For HE Authors.
