There are Australia ICOMOS member representatives on the Working Group from nearly all states and territories and an agreement to coordinate with a similar initiative by ICOMOS NZ.

The aim of the working group is to “work to ensure best-practice heritage components are included in tertiary and education sector programmes”.

The priority action for the working group is to “monitor outcomes of the Heritage Trades & Professional Training Report September 2010  prepared for the Heritage Chairs and Officials of Australia and NZ with particular reference to skills training in heritage-related trades and pursue opportunities to advise decision makers”.

Please contact the Working Group Coordinator Mary Knaggs if you require further information.
