Alice Buhrich

Alice Buhrich is an archaeologist based in far north Queensland. She has worked in range of heritage roles including private consultancy, administration of state indigenous and non-indigenous heritage legislation, education and research. Previous work has included conducting archaeological site surveys in the Wet Tropics region with rainforest Aboriginal groups, undertaking significance assessments and preparing entries for the Queensland Heritage Register, and delivering cultural mapping training with indigenous groups in north Queensland. Alice has a particular interest in indigenous rock art, visitor management and the potential impacts of climate change on indigenous heritage.
